ANUSH HOVHANNISYAN (soprano) and JULIA LYNCH (piano)
Hot off her summer of success with astonishing performances at the Cardiff Singer of the World and at the New Generation Festival in Florence, Anush teams up with the one and only Julia Lynch to present us with a rip-roaring, world class operatic recital. Anush will be singing Violetta in Scottish Opera's La traviata this season.

A RECITAL OF ENGLISH MUSIC
Giaccomo Pozzo (Oboe), Matthew Morgan (tenor), and Michael Hickman (piano) present a recital of music by Butterworth, Britten, and Vaughan Williams, among other composers. This varied programme is sure to be a fascinating one. Matthew studied at the Alexander Gibson Opera Studio.

GENOVIA QUARTET (bassoons)
The Genovia Quartet is a fresh, all female group formed in 2015, seeking to challenge the traditionalist perception of classical music. Expect a little bit of everything, from classical favourites to jazz and folk-inspired repertoire.

MURRAY McLACHLAN and FAMILY
Following their recent family concerts featuring all five Beethoven concertos in Edinburgh and Devon, as well as success in the Scottish International Youth Prize this year, the family are now planning recital tours featuring all three of their children as well as solos and duets from the adults, Murray and Kathryn. Rose (15) Matthew (17) and Callum (18) present a varied recital of piano works to include Chopin Ballade no. 3, Rachmaninov-Bach Gavotte, Shostakovich Preludes and Fugues and Samuel Barber’s Piano Sonata.

EDINBURGH QUARTET (strings)
Our world class resident string quartet return to Westbourne once again. This programme will include Mozart's String Quartet No 20 in D Major, K499, and Ravel's String Quartet in F Major.

ANNA TILBROOK (piano) and JAMES GILCHRIST (tenor)
2017 sees James Gilchrist and Anna Tilbrook celebrating 20 years of working together as a duo and they are delighted to be coming to the Merchants Hall in Glasgow to perform Schubert's Winterreise, a work they have performed to great critical acclaim and which won the BBC Music Magazine Disc of the month

KEVIN KIRS VERSTEGE (solo cello)
A graduate of the RCS, Kevin now studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In this programme the audience will be taken on a journey from a complete Bach suite to the music of Kaija Saariaho. Kevin is also Principal Cellist of Raucous Rossini and The New Generation Festival.

RCS VOICES
The acclaimed group of singers from the Royal Conservatoire have had an almighty year since their last performance for Westbourne, including a stint at the St Magnus International Festival. The concert will showcase this superb ensemble with a choral Christmas melange of music. Something for everyone this Christmas at Westbourne. James Slimings conducts.

JAMES WILLSHIRE (piano)
This is the first concert in an exciting series of five featuring the completed piano works of Debussy to celebrate the centenary of his death. The series starts with Debussy's last masterpiece for the piano, his Etudes (1915). In this programme James will also perform some of his popular early works - starting the whole series with two of his best-loved compositions, the Deux Arabesques.

OPERA SHOWCASE (RCS)
This concert will showcase performers from across the Vocal Performance department and the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the RCS. We are delighted to have this unique showcase of the Royal Conservatoire's top operatic talent here at Westbourne Music.

PAUL LIVINGSTON (violin)
Virtuoso violinist and violist Paul studied at the RCS and played frequently at Scottish Opera and across Scotland. He now studies in Cremona whilst enjoying an international career as a soloist and orchestral musician. His programme will include the Schubert Arpeggione Sonata and other chamber music greats. Paul is a member of Classical Musicians Scotland.

ROSS MONTGOMERY and friends from THE SOUTHBANK SINFONIA
This rare programme of music for the Clarinet (Ross Montgomery), Violin (Jessica Coleman), and Piano (Leo Nicholson), will include the Milhaud Suite for clarinet, violin and piano, Bartok Contrasts, and Stravinsky Soldier's Tale (trio version). We are delighted to be welcoming Ross back to Glasgow to showcase his successes of the past year.

RCS GOVERNORS' RECITAL PRIZE

YE CRONIES OPERA AWARD PRIZE
The top prize for the Alexander Gibson Opera School and indeed all singers from the RCS is a prestigious award. This recital will feature the winner and the runner up of this competition. Past winners include Charlotte Drummond and Anush Hovhannisyan. Stay tuned for the results.

JAMES WILLSHIRE (piano)
The second concert in the series focuses on two periods - 1890, and 1904-1908. 1890 was Debussy's first foray into sustained piano composition. There are 7 works that were written in that year, three of which will appear this concert. 1904-1908 was likewise a period of sustained piano composition, a period where Debussy experimented with the sounds that a piano could produce, and when he wrote two of his first great works for the instrument, Images 1 and 2.

EDINBURGH QUARTET (strings)
The quartet's wide ranging repertory is on display for this May concert. The programme brings us the wonderful Haydn String Quartet Op 76, No54, and Dvorak's String Quartet No 10 in E flat, Op 51. We are delighted that this quartet, founded in 1960, calls Westbourne its Glasgow home.

JAMES WILLSHIRE (piano)
The third concert in the series starts with the first piece Debussy ever wrote for the piano, his Danse bohemienne. The concert also includes his popular Pour le piano and finishes with his Preludes book 1.
We are delighted to have hosted the first three concerts in this exciting series and look forward to hosting James in the later half of 2018 for the last two.

AARON SHORR and FALI PAVRI (four hand piano)
We are delighted to have this unique opportunity to present two of the finest pianists that Scotland has to offer. To have the Head of Keyboard and the Associate Head of Keyboard from the RCS in a four hand recital promises to be a superb way to conclude this season.
